Creating a Boast Thank You Page

When a customer submits a testimonial, it’s a good idea to thank them, and encourage them to share their testimonial with others. If you’re providing prizes or conducting a contest in exchange for testimonials, you should give the customer more information about it. 

With Boast, you can customize the message your customer sees based on the star rating they leave. This way, you can ask five-star customers to share further and redirect a one-star reviewer to a customer service person, or another step you think is appropriate. 

Please keep in mind that the terms of service on some third-party review sites require that all customers be given equal opportunity to share their feedback, whether positive or negative. Read the terms of service of each site carefully before asking your customers to leave reviews on other sites.  

First, here’s how you can customize your thank you message, or redirect to another page on your site. 

  1. Log into your Boast account and go to Collection Forms 
  2. Create a new Collection Form or select Edit from an existing one. 
  3. Select Thank You Messages
  4. To redirect to another page of your website, select “Redirect to another web page” and paste the URL. Make sure this page explains anything the customer needs to know after submitting a testimonial, because they will NOT see a thank you message. 
  5. To show a thank you message instead, select “Show a Thank You Message.” You can use regular text, style your text however you choose. If you’d like your customer to have the option to go to another page after seeing this thank you message, insert a link into the text. 
  6. Click “Update Form” at the bottom to save your changes. 

Then, you can customize your messages based on star-rating if you like. If a customer leaves a high star rating, consider including a link to your Google Business page, or another review site. If they leave a low star-rating, consider steps you can take to change their mind or solve their problem. 

  1. Log into your Boast account and go to Collection Forms 
  2. Create a new Collection Form or select Edit from an existing one. 
  3. Select Thank You Messages
  4. Under “Thank you message type” toggle the selection to “customize message by rating.” 
  5. Above the message box, toggle between 5 stars, 4 stars etc. to write different messages for different ratings. 
  6. Hit “Update Form”  at the bottom to save your changes.
